2025 has been a successful year for the IQILS programme, with incredible progress made by our registered services. Our first assessments took place in autumn 2021 and the programme now has 19 fully accredited services. Well done to all teams for their achievement. You can view the list of services who have become accredited on our registered services page.
The programme held 16 training sessions in 2025, which included 2 in-person sessions during the BASL Annual Meeting in October and at the RCP at The Spine in Liverpool in December. Our 2026 service support sessions have been released, and you can register to attend on our training and events page.
IQILS also piloted a scheme to support the professional development of hepatology resident doctors. If you would be interested in learning more about this, please do contact the team via askiqils@rcp.ac.uk.
Much of our work would not be possible without the support from the liver community, which includes our clinical and quality leads Professor James Ferguson and Dr Andrew Yeoman, our dedicated assessors, stakeholders and registered services so would like to say thanks for your commitment and hard work.
We look forward to a positive 2026!
