PSC Support, the only UK patient organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), has new leadership.

Martine Walmsley; a well-known driving force within the PSC community for many years, will co-lead the charity with Mark Chatterley following the resignation of the previous CEO.

Martine and Mark's complimentary skills and passion will drive the charity forward while continuing its focus on funding vital research, providing evidence-based information and ensuring the patient voice is at the heart of everything it does.

PSC Support funds research into the disease, sometimes called 'the last black box in hepatology' with its 2026 funding round opening to expressions of interest later this year.

Patients can access support from the charity by visiting the website where specialist-approved information is avalibale through web content, free leaflets, a nurse-led Helpline and online webinars. You can also order free patient information leaflets for your clinics.
